Ellie Goulding Celebrates England's Win in World Cup Game by Jokingly Recording 'New Music'

Ellie Goulding pulled a fast one on all of her fans yesterday (July 4) on Twitter.      

The singer, who has been teasing and promising new music for months now, took to Twitter to share a video of her and her team working on some "new music."

Goulding is seen singing into a microphone in a recording studio, giving some simple vocals before taking a break. When the British pop star asks for the music to be turned up, her production team tells her to turn the knob on her monitor.     

The song that then plays on the monitor isn't actually anything Goulding is currently working on, but the song "Three Lions (Football's Coming Home)" by comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner with the band the Lightning Seeds.     

The song was written for the Euro Cup in 1996 and has become somewhat of an anthem for every win England has had in any major tournament, including the World Cup. Goulding, of course, used the social media platform to express her English pride and excitement over the team's big win on Tuesday (July 3) against Colombia, moving them to the quarterfinal of the tournament.

"I'm going on a few dates with Niall, but was never in a relationship with Ed," the "Burn" says the singer in question Body Confidence Elle UK, on sale Thursday. "I have no idea where it came from and why it became such a big thing. I find it so frustrating that female musicians are constantly defined by men who have or have not dated. It's something that I have discussed with [Taylor Swift] much. She definitely feels it. She was upset by it. Its like, can be a great artist, you can write great songs, but what everyone is talking about a certain relationship they think has had or not. It's definitely something that we both think happens to female artists more male artists."

Goulding is dating McFly Dougie Poynter, who might be "The One."

"He's been through a lot, and has a quiet depth that I love," says the singer. "When I was a teenager, he wanted but I thought it was so out of reach. Too handsome for me. Calvin Harris has already offered to play at our wedding. Not that we organized one. But the offer has been made."



Today, Goulding is happier than ever, and not only because of Poynter. "When I started, I could not cope with it. I felt embarrassed by it. I was not sure I needed to be," says fame. "I was never confident in my eyes. I hated my chin, nose, eyebrows. I was told by people in my record company to see videos of other girls like Little Boots, and Elly Jackson of La Roux, and try to apparently there was panic attacks so bad that I could not leave my house ... I could not stand people watching me I worry that I would never be able to sing, because I could not even get up I was also terribly ashamed of myself because I felt like a kind of drama queen and all I wanted to be was strong. Ellie Goulding Dares Prince Harry To Ice Bucket Challenge

Singer Ellie Goulding has taken the ice cube challenge charity to a whole new level by daring British royal Prince Harry to participate.

The "Lights" hitmaker has a connection to the heir after singing at the wedding of his brother Prince William to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, in 2011, and hopes to convince him to join celebrities from around the world that have step for the ALS Association.

Goulding reveals his manager rejected the challenge after his nomination, so called Prince Harry to take his place.



In a post on Twitter.com, he writes, "So my manager will not make ice challenge (but donate) so renominate Prince Harry. Who told me enough peer pressure ..."

The challenge is to raise funds to fight ALS, also known as motor neuron disease and Lou Gehrig's disease. Harry has a personal connection to the cause and his aunt, Anne, Princess Royal, is a pattern of association of motor neuron disease in Britain.

Stars including Gwyneth Paltrow, Lindsay Lohan, Tom Cruise, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga all have sprayed themselves in ice water in recent days to raise money for charity.
